Coach

Certifications: CrossFit Level 1

Occupation: Senior Director Business Consultation (Continuous Improvement)

Year you started CrossFit: 2013

Sports/Fitness Background: Fan of all things that have a healthy sense of competition. Grew up playing basketball, soccer and baseball and then played College Level Soccer at Western New England College (Now WNU). Now I do CrossFit and actively play golf.

Favorite Benchmark/Hero WOD: All of them and they are all tough!

Favorite Lift: Clean

Favorite moment in your CrossFit Career: When I got my first ever muscle up.  Sitting at the top of the rings and thinking “did that finally just happen”.

Your goal for coaching CFBD athletes:  Understanding each individual athlete while sharing the knowledge I have gained as an athlete myself over the years and as a coach in fitness, life and work.  It all seems to blend together!

One thing everyone should know about you:  I love designer burgers and and hotdogs.  I made my own hamburger called the JYD (Junk Yard Dog)

Class time when you workout: I’m a 4:30-6:30 evening type of athlete

1 thing you want someone new to CrossFit to know: This sport requires us to be humble and “check everything” at the door to ensure we can become the best athletes we choose to be.
