Nutrition Coaching

Aimee Donaruma

When it comes to fitness and health, nutrition is half the battle. What you put into your body directly determines how well your body can perform. If you want to improve and achieve the optimal level of performance and fitness, then you need to put just as much time, thought, and energy into your nutrition as you put into your WODs.

In May 2014 I received my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Health Science from Keene State College. I spent the past 4 years studying nutrition and how it affects the body, and now I want to share my knowledge with you all!

I provided the athletes at school with handouts on nutrition and optimal performance, and worked one-on one with teammates, obtaining positive results. I have taken on college students as clients and designed appropriate nutrition regimens based on age, gender, activity level, and goals. In addition, I held a nutrition seminar at a CrossFit box, providing handouts and discussing Paleo and Zone lifestyles. I have experience with adult clients, both with and without disease such as hypertension, high cholesterol, and obesity. I have been able to see first-hand that nutrition will not only improve disease that’s present, but also help prevent pre-disposed diseases. Additionally, I have experience working with preschool and toddlers through the Early Sprouts program, which is a gardening and nutrition curriculum in schools that fosters enthusiasm for healthy foods in young children. The program focuses on gardening, sensory exploration, cooking, and family development, and it is amazing to watch the children explore and cultivate healthy relationships with food!
